Accept $500,000 county grant for Pinecrest potable water project

RESOLUTION NO. 2023-71 A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO ACCEPT THE $500,000 GOB GRANT FOR THE POTABLE WATER PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, Miami-Dade County awarded a $500,000 grant (GOB Project Name: Pinecrest Infrastructure Improvements/GOB Project Number: 374-3002876) for the potable water project; and WHEREAS, in the course of seeking remittance of the grant funds from Miami-Dade County, the Village was recently advised that a formal resolution of the Village Council accepting the grant was necessary;

NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the Village Council hereby authorizes the Village Manager to accept the $500,000 GOB grant (GOB Project Name: Pinecrest Infrastructure Improvements / GOB Project Number: 374-3002876) for the potable water project. In the course of seeking remittance of the grant funds from Miami-Dade County, the Village was recently advised that a formal resolution of the Village Council accepting the grant was necessary. I hereby respectfully recommend the Village Council adopt the attached resolution authorizing the Village Manager to accept the $500,000 grant for the potable water project.
