Endorse county request for Biscayne Bay water quality funding

RESOLUTION NO. 2023- A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, ENDORSING MIAMI-DADE COUNTY’S RESOLUTION URGING THE FLORIDA LEGISLATURE TO PROVIDE INCREASED FUNDING AND A DEDICATED FUNDING SOURCE FOR THE BISCAYNE BAY WATER QUALITY IMPROVEMENT GRANT PROGRAM; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, it is important that members of the Board of County Commissioners are made aware when municipalities take a position on County Commission agenda items; and WHEREAS, the Village Council wishes to express support for Miami-Dade County Resolution No. R-930-23; and

NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF VILLAGE OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, THAT: Section 1. The Village of Pinecrest hereby expresses support for Miami-Dade County’s resolution urging the Florida legislature to provide increased funding and a dedicated funding source for the Biscayne bay water quality improvement grant program. Section 2. That the Village Clerk shall transmit a copy of this resolution to the Clerk of the Board of County Commissioners. Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
