Authorize $47,000 fire rescue feasibility study with Fitch & Associates

RESOLUTION NO. 2022- A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH FITCH & ASSOCIATES FOR THE FIRE RESCUE SERVICES FEASIBILITY STUDY; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Village issued a Request for Proposals for Fire Rescue Services Feasibility Study; and WHEREAS, the Village Manager received proposals by the published deadline; and WHEREAS, a staff evaluation committee has ranked the top proposals as follows: 1. NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the Village Manager is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with Fitch & Associates for Fire Rescue Services Feasibility Study. Section 2. The Village has requested proposals for a Fire Rescue Services Feasibility Study, which will provide professional services for the Village of Pinecrest to establish an independent village-managed Fire Service Department. This will include start-up costs, implementation plans, staffing, training, equipment and facility requirements, EMS, dispatch services, and the incorporation of appropriate interlocal agreements, as well as any other relevant considerations. As a result, two (2) proposals were received. Matrix Consulting Group $47,000.00 Fitch & Associates $44,995.00 I hereby respectfully recommend the Village Council adopt the attached resolution authorizing the Village Manager to enter into a professional services agreement with Fitch & Associates for the Fire Rescue Services Feasibility Study.
