RESOLUTION NO. 2023- A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH AUM CONSTRUCTION, INC. FOR MISCELLANEOUS CONSTRUCTION TRAFFIC OPERATIONS (SIGNS AND SIGNALS); PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, State of Florida Department of Transportation conducted a competitive bidding process for the procurement of Miscellaneous Constructions Traffic Operations (signs & signals) and awarded a bid to AUM Construction, Inc.; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-287 of the Code of Ordinances, the Village Manager is authorized to execute contracts, as entered into by other governmental authorities, provided that the governmental authority has followed a competitive bidding procedure leading to the award of the bid or contract in question; and WHEREAS, the Village Manager wishes to enter into a contract with AUM Construction, Inc.; for miscellaneous construction traffic operations;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the Village Council hereby authorizes the Village Manager, pursuant to Section 2-287 of the Code of Ordinances, to “piggyback” on an existing contract between State of Florida Department of Transportation and AUM Construction, Inc. (Contract No. E6O06), and enter into an agreement with AUM Construction, Inc.; for miscellaneous construction traffic operations. Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 14th day of February, 2023. Joseph M. In accordance with Village procurement policy, it is recommended the Village Council authorize the Village Manager to enter into a Piggy-back contract with AUM Construction, Inc. in the amount not to exceed $250,000 per year for the provision and installation of various traffic operations equipment including radar feedback signs, flashing pedestrian signals, in pavement lights, pedestrian & vehicular pavement markings and signs of all types. The funding source for this contract is the Transportation Fund, miscellaneous project budget line item.
