Authorize agreements with companies for towing and wrecker services

RESOLUTION NO. 2023- A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH COMPANIES FOR TOWING AND WRECKER SERVICES; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Village issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Towing and Wrecker Services; and WHEREAS, sealed proposals were received by the published deadline;

NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the Village Manager is hereby authorized to enter into agreements with the following companies for the provision of Towing and Wrecker Services on a rotating basis: • Sunshine Towing • Specialized Towing • Excalibur Towing Section 2. The purpose of this RFP is to contract with at least three companies to be utilized on a rotation basis for towing and wrecker services. As a result of the RFP, the following three (3) proposals were received by the November 17, 2023 deadline: 1. Sunshine Towing 2. Specialized Towing 3. Excalibur Towing I hereby respectfully recommend the Village Council adopt the attached resolution awarding the contract for Towing & Wrecker Services to Sunshine Towing, Specialized Towing and Excalibur Towing.
