Award $199,901 bid to Star Paving for sidewalk replacement

RESOLUTION NO. 2025- A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AWARDING A BID TO STAR PAVING CORPORATION FOR THE SIDEWALK FLAGS REPLACEMENT PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Village issued an Invitation to Bid for the “Sidewalk Flags Replacement” project; and WHEREAS, sealed proposals were received by the published deadline; and WHEREAS, Star Paving Corporation submitted the most responsive proposal;

NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the Village Council hereby determines that Star Paving Corporation has submitted the most responsive bid and hereby authorizes the Village Manager to enter into an agreement with said firm for the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, equipment, machinery, superintendence, and services necessary for the completion of the project as detailed in the Sidewalk Flags Replacement Project Invitation to Bid packet in an amount not to exceed $104,950.00. The project includes demolition, removal and disposal of existing sidewalk, form, placement, and finish of new sidewalk. As a result of the ITB, the following four (4) bids were received by the November 14, 2024, deadline: Star Paving Corporation $104,950.00 Homestead Concrete and Drainage $199,900.92 V and G Construction Solutions $186,550.00 Pimentel Construction Group $185,700.00 Based upon staff’s evaluation of the proposals, I hereby respectfully recommend the Village Council adopt the attached resolution awarding the contract for the Sidewalk Flags Replacement project to the lowest Bidder, Star Paving Corporation, in the amount of $104,950.00.
