Approve board appointments for Friends of Pinecrest Gardens nonprofit

RESOLUTION NO. 2026- A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, APPROVING BOD APPOINTMENTS FOR THE FRIENDS OF PINECREST GARDENS, INC.; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Village Council created the “Friends of Pinecrest Gardens, Inc.” with the adoption of Resolution 2020-36; and WHEREAS, the Friends of Pinecrest Gardens, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation which raises donations to host and support cultural and educational programming for Pinecrest Gardens; and WHEREAS, the Articles of Incorporation of the Friends of Pinecrest Gardens, Inc. provide for the Village Manager to appoint members of the Board of Directors with the approval of the Village Council;

NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the Village Council hereby approves the following appointment to the Board of Directors of the Friends of Pinecrest Gardens, Inc., with a term expiring on December 31, 2026, in accordance with the organization’s Articles of Incorporation: • Thomas “Tim” Abbott • Tasha Cunningham • B.J. Duncan • Joshua Kaufman • Alana Perez • H.K. “Skip” Pita • Pinecrest Acting Vice Mayor Section 2. That this Resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption.
