Commission $100,000 public art sculpture from Dicro Davis Inc.

RESOLUTION NO. 2023- A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH DICRO DAVIS INC. FOR THE COMMISSION OF A PUBLIC ART SCULPTURE; WAIVING THE COMPETITIVE BIDDING PROCEDURES OF THE VILLAGE CODE; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the Village Manager is hereby authorized to negotiate and enter into an agreement with Dicro Davis, Inc. for the commission of a public art sculpture to be located at the Old Cutler Road Roundabouts at either SW 67 Avenue or SW 136 Street, or at such other location as may be determined by the Village Manager, in an amount not to exceed $100,000. Section 2. That the Village Council hereby waives the competitive bidding procedures for expenditures in excess of $50,000 pursuant to Section 2-288 of the Code of Ordinances. Section 3.
