DATE: TO: FROM: RE: June 2, 2023 The Honorable Mayor and Members of the Village Council Yocelyn Galiano, ICMA-CM, Village Manager Agreement with State Attorney for Prosecution of Criminal Violations The Florida Constitution provides that the State Attorney may prosecute municipal ordinances if the ordinance violation is ancillary to a felony prosecution or if the municipality has entered into a contract with the State Attorney for these prosecutions. Attached for Council’s consideration is an agreement for the prosecution of ordinance violations for the period of October 1, 2022 through September 30, 2023. I hereby respectfully recommend the Village Council authorize the Village Manager to enter into said agreement at an hourly rate of $50.00 per hour.
