Authorize milling and resurfacing contract for Suniland Annex

RESOLUTION NO. 2024-21 A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH ARROW ASPHALT & ENGINEERING, INC. FOR MILLING AND RESURFACING OF SUNILAND ANNEX; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the city of North Miami Beach conducted a competitive bidding process for the procurement of Roadway, Drainage & Other Civil Works Related Project and awarded a bid to Arrow Asphalt & Engineering, Inc.; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-287 of the Code of Ordinances, the Village Manager is authorized to execute contracts, as entered into by other governmental authorities, provided that the governmental authority has followed a competitive bidding procedure leading to the award of the bid or contract in question; and WHEREAS, the Village Manager wishes to enter into a contract with Arrow Asphalt & Engineering, Inc. for milling and resurfacing of Suniland Annex.

NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the Village Council hereby authorizes the Village Manager, pursuant to Section 2-287 of the Code of Ordinances, to “piggyback” on an existing contract between North Miami Beach and Arrow Asphalt & Engineering, Inc. (Contract/Bid No. ITB-19-101-JL), and enter into an agreement with Arrow Asphalt & Engineering, Inc., for milling and resurfacing of Suniland Annex. Section 2.
