Award $79,672 contract to J&H Painting for municipal center exterior

DATE: April 9, 2024 TO: The Honorable Mayor and Members of the Village Council FROM: Yocelyn Galiano, ICMA-CM, Village Manager RE: Resolution Awarding Pinecrest Municipal Center Exterior Improvements The Village published an Invitation to Bid (ITB) for the Pinecrest Municipal Center Exterior Improvements. The project includes pressure cleaning, repair damage and paint the exterior of the building, as well as, first floor parking. As a result of the ITB, the following eight (8) bids were received by the April 4, 2024 deadline: J&H Painting $79,672.00 Dekora $139,460.0 Techgroupone $159,800.00 Thousand and One Painting $154,615.00 Mario’s Painting and Services $140,770.00 Green Alliance $125,000.00 Quick Painting Group $137,000.00 Miliani Construction Group $324,650.45 Based upon staff’s evaluation of the proposals, I hereby respectfully recommend the Village Council adopt the attached resolution awarding the contract for the Pinecrest Municipal Center Exterior Improvements to the lowest Bidder, J&H Painting, in the amount of $79,672.00. RESOLUTION NO. 2024- A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AWARDING A BID TO J&H PAINTING FOR THE MUNICIPAL CENTER EXTERIOR IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Village issued an Invitation to Bid for the “Municipal Center Exterior Improvements” project; and WHEREAS, sealed proposals were received by the published deadline; and WHEREAS, J&H Painting submitted the most responsive proposal;

NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF PINECREST, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the Village Council hereby determines that J&H Painting has submitted the most responsive bid and hereby authorizes the Village Manager to enter into an agreement with said firm for the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, equipment, machinery, superintendence, and services necessary for the completion of the project as detailed in the Municipal Center Exterior Maintenance Project Invitation to Bid packet in an amount not to exceed $79,672.00. Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of April, 2024. Joseph M.
