Contrary to its stated mission of helping all students succeed, the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) is proposing two new rules that would restrict access to Adult Education and Florida State Colleges based on immigration status. These mean-spirited rules would foil the progress of immigrant students, many of whom have attended our schools and worked hard toward their goal of enrolling in affordable higher education institutions. …
