Titusville teen charged in cruise ship murder taken into federal custody
A federal judge ordered the Titusville 16-year-old accused of murdering his stepsister, Anna Kepner, taken into federal custody as he awaits trial.
A federal magistrate rescinded an order allowing the 16-year-old brother of Anna Kepner to remain free pending trial, ordering the U.S. Marshal’s office to take the teen accused of Kepner's murder into custody and to remand him to the Citrus County Jail.
The 14-page order was issued late Monday, June 15, in response to a request from federal prosecutors to have the Titusville teen, who is charged as an adult, held in detention pending his trial in connection with Anna Kepner’s death aboard the Carnival Horizon cruise ship on Nov. 7, 2025. …
