A grand jury in the Southern District of Florida is charging a Florida man with federal hate crime and firearm offenses after her attempted a mass shooting targeting Jewish victims.
According to court records filed in Miami , Forrest Kendall Pemberton, 27, of Gainesville, obtained an AR-15-style rifle that was equipped with a silencer. He then traveled to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee ( AIPAC ) office in Plantation, Florida. The organization is a non-profit organization that worked to lobby the U.S. government in support of Israel .
