Two recently filed Florida Elections Commission complaints accuse Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Mavel Ruiz’s 2026 campaign of accepting contributions above the legal limit for a circuit-court judicial candidate.

The complaints, both sworn on June 6, 2026, by complainant Jeshua Araoz , allege that Ruiz’s campaign accepted excessive contributions from the law firm Colson Hicks Eidson and from attorney Michael Davis .
