A new Resident Satisfaction Survey shows that two-thirds of Pensacola residents think the city is headed in the right direction. Conducted by the Haas Center at the University of West Florida between Feb. 23 and April 3, 2026 , the survey gathered 1,815 valid responses from mailed postcards, social media, and email outreach.
Top priorities for residents include tackling the high cost of housing (20%) and reducing homelessness (19%) . People also value waterfront access (29%) , community safety (26%) , and arts, culture, and festivals (24%) . …
