Trial attorney Bill Mitchell will not run for a state House seat this cycle, he told Florida Politics Thursday.
Michell, a Republican, had announced earlier this week that he planned to run for Florida House District 60, which incumbent Democrat Lindsay Cross is vacating . Mitchell said at the time that he wanted to ensure there would be an election to replace Cross because only Democrat Lindsay Polega-Quigley had filed to run .
