Florida Parishes history enthusiasts explore plans, tell of past
Since moving into a new courthouse building in 2015, Livingston Parish Government has provided its former courthouse building to the Town of Livingston for renovation and use as a town hall.
Since moving into a new courthouse building in 2015, Livingston Parish Government has provided its former courthouse building to the Town of Livingston for renovation and use as a town hall.
Built in 1941, the former courthouse with 20,000 square feet is considerably larger than the current 4,000-foot town hall. Mayor J.T. Taylor envisions using some of the space as a community hub as part of his push to encourage local tourism.
