'Very exciting': FAMU alumnus commits seven-figure gift to university
A FAMU alumnus has committed a seven-figure gift amount to the university and will have the track and field house on campus named after him.
A Florida A&M University mystery donor – described as a “nationally recognized sports medicine professional” – will soon have the FAMU Track and Field program's fieldhouse on campus named after him.
The alumnus pledged to donate a transformational seven-figure gift amount to the university, but the graduate’s name and the specific amount of the gift have not yet been disclosed and won’t be announced for another few weeks, according to a university spokesperson. FAMU’s Board of Trustees approved the gift-related naming recommendation at its June 11 meeting in the Grand Ballroom on campus.
