Surrounded by family members, fellow judges, attorneys, elected officials and community leaders, Mark Johnson was formally invested Friday afternoon as Putnam County’s newest county judge during a ceremony steeped in tradition at Ravine Gardens State Park.
The investiture marked Johnson’s transition from longtime prosecutor to member of the judiciary, a journey spanning more than a quarter-century of legal service and bringing him back to the community his family has called home for nearly 30 years.
