Rep. Susan Valdés is looking to keep her political career in Hillsborough after saying farewell to the Legislature , filing to run for Hillsborough County Commission District 5.
Valdés, a Tampa Republican who originally ran as a Democrat, faces incumbent Republican Donna Cameron Cepeda and Hillsborough County School Board Member Stacy Hahn , as well as Democrat Neil Manimala in the race.
