Bethel mayor seeks to remove police chief indicted on 70 sex abuse charges
If convicted on all counts, Chad Essert could face up to 280 years in prison.
CLERMONT COUNTY, Ohio (WXIX) - Bethel Mayor JayDee Noble II plans to begin the process to remove the village police chief after he was arrested and indicted on 70 counts tied to the alleged sexual abuse of a minor more than 15 years ago.
Noble said in a statement he was “deeply disturbed” to learn of Chad Essert’s arrest.
