GREENE COLUMN: When religion. politics mix, someone tends to be left out
When you mix religion and politics, you get politics.
Take, for instance, Louisiana and Texas, states that now require the Ten Commandments be posted in every classroom.
That seems simple and straightforward enough. Except it isn’t. There are three versions of the commandments in the Old Testament, and those vary according to faith traditions.
