Lessons in human dignity come from Second Harvest, Pope Leo
Human connections are reinforced after we left Second Harvest energized and grateful for new friends and an avenue to help provide food to others.
Last weekend was for me one of celebrating human connections. A birthday party for our youngest grandchild who turned 2, a family picnic for our son and his family at the river, and a focus in worship centered around “Koinonia,” the Greek word for “fellowship” that translates community, communion, engagement, intimacy, and solidarity.
To top off this weekend theme, my husband and I volunteered for Second Harvest on Monday morning for repacking protein in the clean room. …
