While the Northeast and Midwest catch a bit of a break from intense heat and humidity the weekend of June 13, that won't be the case across the scorching Southeast, where "hazardous" heat is forecast through Sunday, June 14.
How hot? Temperatures will soar well into the 90s and near 100 degrees, with punishing humidity. The National Weather Service in Tallahassee, Florida, said that, due to the heat, "those without access to adequate cooling or hydration should take actions such as staying indoors in A/C or shade, staying hydrated, or taking frequent breaks."
