DeSantis orders full statewide scrutiny of Medicaid providers
The governor stopped in West Palm Beach on June 12 to unveil a series of new measures aimed at rooting out Medicaid fraud in South Florida.
WEST PALM BEACH — Florida is requiring every active Medicaid provider in the state to re-verify their credentials and identity under a new round of enhanced scrutiny, Gov. Ron DeSantis announced June 12.
Medicaid providers in Florida typically re-enroll every three to five years. But under a new statewide revalidation effort, every active provider will go through the process again over the next 12 to 24 months.
