Possible 107-degree 'feels-like' heat in Miami-Dade, Broward today
"Scattered cloud coverage" could allow for heat index values "as high as 105-107 degrees" in the Miami and Fort Lauderdale areas.
A heat advisory is in effect for parts of Miami-Dade and Broward counties for the second day in a row on June 16, following yesterday's predicted feels-like temperatures of 103 to 107 degrees .
Temperatures in the same range are forecast for today, as "scattered cloud coverage" could allow for increased heat index values "as high as 105-107 degrees," with high temperatures in the low-to-mid 90s, according to the National Weather Service. Coastal and metro areas in Miami-Dade and Broward counties are under a heat advisory, which will remain in effect from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on June 16 .
