Republican Palm Beach County Mayor Sara Baxter has abandoned her days-old bid for a seat in Congress and, at the urging of President Donald Trump , is seeking re-election to the county commission.
Baxter's quick turnabout came only hours after Trump took to his Truth Social platform to say he'd prefer she run for re-election to the county commission and not seek a seat in the House of Representatives.
