A large brush fire has grown to 600 acres in west Miami-Dade County since it started on Monday afternoon, according to the Florida Forest Service.
The Quarry 2 Wildfire has currently burned 600 acres and is 30% contained, according to a map of active wildfires provided by the Florida Forest Service, which was updated at 12:40 a.m. on June 16. A fire at NW 137th Ave. and NW 25th St. is still listed on Miami-Dade Fire Rescue's Active Calls page as of 8:53 on June 16.
