Democrat Karla Kemp is leaving the crowded race for Florida’s 13th Congressional District and transferring her campaign to Senate District 18, where St. Petersburg Republican incumbent Sen. Nick DiCeglie is running for re-election.
The transfer was made official in a hand-delivered letter to the Florida Division of Elections late Thursday afternoon, although she did not qualify for the race at the same time, according to elections office records.
