Air Force veteran and pastor Steve Rance is the latest Republican candidate to jump in the race for Florida’s 9th Congressional District, where incumbent Democratic Rep. Darren Soto finds himself in a redrawn district much more favorable to the GOP. Rance, a 20-year Air Force Security Forces veteran, pastor and former local official in Cass County, Indiana, is the ninth Republican to announce his intent to run for the seat. As of Tuesday morning, four Republicans including Rance had officially qualified, as had Soto. Qualifying opened Monday and ends Friday. …
