Democrat Hector Mujica is dropping out of the race for Florida’s 28th Congressional District less than three weeks after Florida Politics reported he is ineligible to run as a Democrat due to a brief party switch last year.
“After spending several days reviewing every available option with our legal counsel, I have made the difficult decision not to move forward,” Mujica said in a statement . “This was not a decision I arrived at lightly, and it was not a decision I made without a fight.”
