Two-term incumbent Rep. Jeff Holcomb is abandoning his reelection bid and instead jumping into an already-crowded race for Hernando County Commissioner District 4.
Meanwhile, current District 2 Commissioner Brian Hawkins announced he will resign from the Hernando County Commission and run for Holcomb’s district, which covers western Hernando and northwest Pasco Counties.
