Support local news where it still lives
If you care about what happens in Citrus County, there is a simple truth worth saying plainly: local journalism does not survive by accident.
Someone sits through the County Commission meeting that runs too long. Someone reads the budget workshop documents. Someone asks why a road project stalled, why a jail contract was renewed, why an animal shelter cost grew, why a development proposal changed, why a tax cut in Tallahassee may leave local governments with fewer dollars to pave roads, fund libraries or hire deputies.
