Special event zone in effect for Daytona, but reason unclear
The zone is in effect from 6 a.m. June 13 to 6 a.m. June 14.
The Daytona Beach Police Department stated in a Facebook post June 12 that it's implementing a special event zone beachside this weekend for a truck event "not taking place within the City of Daytona Beach."
It's unclear what truck event the post alluded to. Daytona Beach police did not respond to a News-Journal inquiry.
