A proposal to ban cellphone use at K-12 public schools across Washington state has Gov. Ferguson's backing, but would need legislative approval.
A statewide "away for the day" cellphone ban could be coming to Washington public schools as early as next year, officials announced on Tuesday.
At a June 9 press conference at Robert Eagle Staff Middle School in Seattle, Governor Bob Ferguson announced a proposal to ban cellphone use during the school day for K-12 public schools.
