Ron DeSantis , during an education event Wednesday, schooled attendees on the plusses and minuses of changes legislators made to his proposal to raise the homestead exemption to $250,000 .
The Governor said he likes that the Legislature put a version of what he wanted in front of voters, but he still wishes a trust fund for local governments had been included and suggested an exemption applicable to school taxes were included as he intended.
