🏛️ Miami-Dade Launches Same-Day Permitting for Minor Home Projects
On June 16, 2026 , the Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners reviewed an ordinance sponsored by Chairman Anthony Rodriguez and prepared by County Attorney Geri Bonzon-Keenan . The new rule adds Section 8-9 to the County Code and directs the County Mayor or a designee to create a same-day permitting program for small residential construction projects.
