A city of Tallahassee employee was suspended after a social media post about how "a random GOP congressman" could be assassinated.
A Tallahassee city employee has been suspended after writing on social media about how any "random GOP congressman" could be killed, and appearing to praise murder suspect Luigi Mangione's alleged assassination of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.
City spokesperson Alison Faris said officials became aware of the post June 8. That was the same day earlier a popular far-right social media site shined a spotlight on the comments. The employee was suspended immediately, according to the city.
