The Department of Financial Services Criminal Investigations Division ( CID ) has rounded up a dozen people who officials say were engaged in schemes to defraud public assistance programs in Florida.
Chief Financial Officer Blaise Ingoglia announced that 12 people were arrested in connection to administrative action cases in May that involved public assistance funding. He said the plots involved about $806,000 combined in public assistance following CID probes.
